Sub-Regional Bible Studies on
Ruho.org
We have begun a consistent
bible studies within two sub-regions. One area will cover the Long
Island/New Jersey/Staten Island churches and the other Rockland/White
Plains churches. Please express your interests and willingness to
attend with your youth leaders & Ruho contact.
Lenten Retreat
Regional Lenten Retreat will
take place at St. Vladimir's Seminary
on March 24, 2007. This will be a time to attend liturgy,
participate in sessions and workshops, and end with confessions.
MGSOSA National Fundraiser
This fundraiser will take place until the end of Great Lent. The
funds will help the respective regions and the Guardian Angel Institute
run by Angamali Diocese in Kerala. Below is a brief description of this
charity:
1) Began in 1985 under leadership of H.G. Mor Severios
2) Includes the following:
Yeldho Mar Baselios Orphanage , Bethsada Destitute Home for the Dying,
Bethsada Mental Health Center, etc.

All local MGSOSA organizations are
encouraged to participate as we respond to the call of service during
the Great Lent.
MGSOSA Leadership Conference
This
year's Leadership Conference will be held on Friday evening, April
27 through Sunday, April 29 at the
Paradise Lake Retreat Center
in the Pocono Mountains (Bushkill, PA). The cost will be
approximately $90 per person, and we will be setting a deadline
around mid-March for registrations once we have sent out
registration forms.
We would like
to have 3 to 4 people from each church in attendance - made up
of both younger and older youth.
